The PREP Steering Group establishes sub-groups to take delegated responsibility
for providing advice – and for commissioning or obtaining research and advice –
on matters germane to the sub-groups' remit so as to promote and carry forward the
actions contained in PREP's sub-regional economic strategy.
Sub-groups may also be established to take delegated responsibility for overseeing
the management and implementation of specific programmes and activities.
The Chair of each sub-group automatically becomes a member of the Steering Group
on appointment to the Chair.
PREP has three sub-groups currently.
The Investing in Communities sub-group; directs, monitors
and reviews the development and delivery of the Investing in Communities business
plan for Peterborough.
The Housing sub-group; leads on all actions contained in
the sub-regional economic strategy relating to housing growth, it brings together
and works with private and public sector organisations that are directly responsible
for housing provision in Peterborough. It is chaired jointly by Mick Leggett of
Cross Keys Homes and Richard Hall of Axiom Housing Association Limited.
The Business Support sub-group; seeks to influence business
support service providers operating in Peterborough to ensure that the business
support services available locally are relevant to local business and entrepreneurial
needs. It is chaired by John Bridge of the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce and
Industry.
