The primary purpose of the Sub-Regional Economic Strategy is to support and guide the activity of organisations engaged in economic development across the Peterborough sub-region. It does this in five ways.
-
As a statement of key economic development objectives agreed by all partners
-
As a framework for assessing priorities and targeting resources, enabling individual partners to ensure that their activities contribute to the partnership’s goals
-
As a link between local, sub-regional and regional activity, enabling the promotion of the Peterborough region and the work of the partnership
-
As a mechanism to measure the economic progress made by the Greater Peterborough Partnership and individual agencies
-
As a commitment by sub-regional partners to work together to ensure sustainable growth and shared prosperity across all communities within the Peterborough sub-region.
