The role of PREP is to work with its partners to align goals and strategic aims of all agencies that contribute to the economic well being of the Peterborough region. PREP also plays a key role as one of nine Sub-Regional Economic Partnerships, that work alongside the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and Government Office East (GO-East) to enhance the local economy and contribute to delivering the East of England’s Regional Economic Strategy.

  • Peterborough Regional Economic Partnership delivers the Sub-Regional Economic Strategy within the Peterborough region and links local needs and priorities with regional ambitions.
  • Peterborough Regional Economic Partnership will ensure there is active engagement in the Local Area Agreement by all the partners in the delivery of block four, Substantial and Sustainable Growth, including both the private and the voluntary and community sectors.
  • The Investing in Communities Business Plan for £11.5 million to improve the education, work skills and entrepreneurial potential of Peterborough’s residents was approved in February 2007, under the umbrella of the Peterborough Regional Economic Partnership, its overall governing body.
